SHOULDER

THE SHOULDER JOINT IS COMPLEX WITH AN INTERPLAY OF MANY STRUCTURES GIVING IT THE ABILITY TO HAVE A CIRCUMFERENTIAL RANGE OF MOTION.

DIAGNOSING YOUR SHOULDER PAIN

There are many conditions that can cause shoulder pain and dysfunction.

  • Impingement syndrome

  • Nerve pain

  • Subacromial/Subdeltoid bursitis

  • Rotator cuff tears and biceps tendon tears

  • Labral tears

  • Rotator cuff tendinitis/tendinosis which can be acute or chronic

  • Chronic dislocations

  • Osteoarthritis

  • AC joint pain and dysfunction

The critical step in successfully treating shoulder pain and dysfunction is diagnosing the underlying cause.  As for most of our patients, we take the time to take a detailed history and perform a "hands on' examination utilising static and dynamic ultrasound to further evaluate the complaint.  In some cases, further radiological assessments with MRI or an MR Arthrogram may be needed.

TREATING YOUR SHOULDER PAIN

Our doctors are at the forefront of cutting edge and innovative regenerative medicines treatments which use orthobiologics to heal shoulder injuries and treat shoulder pain.  We don't believe in using "band-aid" fixes such as anti-inflammatory medications or steroid or cortisone injections which mask the discomfort and actually cause further deterioration.  Our minimally invasive advanced OrthoRegen® procedures target the "root cause" of the condition, so a full recovery can be obtained.

Our main focus is utilising our treatments and rehabilitation programs towards healing the root cause of your injury or condition without the need for surgery.  We apply the most up-to-date cutting-edge and innovative therapies to relieve your pain and promote improved function and healing. Our precise, image guided injection treatments together with our non-surgical techniques will focus on treating the underlying cause of your condition.

We don’t believe in a quick fix, one-size fits all approach.  Instead, we treat all the structures involved in your condition and enjoy working with our patients to achieve the best outcomes to help them return to normal function and a healthier lifestyle as quickly as possible.
